The Honey Girl pattern will teach you how to shirr fabric. It comes with complete and clearly written, easy-to-follow instructions for shirring as well as for making the sundress and/or top. If that's not enough, Jamie has a step-by-step tutorial (with photos!) on her blog on how to shirr: Pretty Ditty: Shirring Tutorial. I was out of town and far from my sewing machine last week so I didn't have a chance to try this myself before the giveaway, but I will be sure to let you know how it goes once I do! I can't wait to learn to shirr as it opens a whole new world for making clothing.
So, just like last week, choose 3 yards of fabric from either the Michael Miller or Alexander Henry categories in the Phat Fabric shop. This time around you would need the 3 yards to be of one print if you plan to make the sundress (requires 2 1/2 yards of fabric) or 2 different prints to make 2 tops (requires 1 1/2 yards of fabric for one top). Come back to this post and let us know what you would choose (don't worry, if you should win you would be free to change your mind!)
EDITED TO ADD: The Kona cotton solids from Robert Kaufman at Phat Fabric have also been added to the giveaway! So, if you'd prefer a solid for the sundress/top you may choose 3 yards (or 2 1-1/2 yards) from that section as well! If you've already entered, no problem, you can change your choice if you win :)
As usual, you can enter more than once by doing the following (be sure to enter another comment for each one you do):
Giveaway ends Sunday, July 26 at midnight CDT. GOOD LUCK!
