Sneak Peek - My Happy Garden - Cloud9 Organic Fabrics

I was so excited to see this photo of strike-offs of the upcoming My Happy Garden collection from Cloud9 Fabrics. Polka dots, mushrooms, birds... oh my! I can't wait to see more! It looks every bit as wonderful as I knew it would be!
Cloud9 Fabrics is a new company formed by Michelle Engel Bencsko of Cicada Studio fame and Gina Pantastico, an industry veteran with expertise in production and sourcing. They are dedicated to using 100% certified organic cotton and eco-responsible solvent-free inks and dyes. Read the details here: Cloud9 Fabrics: About

My Happy Garden, the first collection from Cloud9 Fabrics, is designed to be a small, gender-neutral baby collection (although from what I've seen, I think it will appeal to all ages - I mean, it has polka dots!) Michelle created some really cool concept cards as inspiration for the collection. Be inspired:

New Fabric Collections!

So many new collections are debuting ahead of the Spring Quilt Market! Here are a few of my current favorites. I might take a closer look at a few of these a little later.

Summer Soiree by Paula Prass in the Manhatten palette. I really love some of the black/yellow collections that have been coming out lately and this is no exception. I'm dying over the houndstooth! And polka dots in a sophisticated gray/yellow! And zigzags? And the floral, reminiscent of the best of the country patterns of the late 1980s/early 1990s. Love it! Mezzanine by Patty Young. Another great collection from her, featuring wonderful, intricate European-style patterns but in a fresh and modern color palette. Definitely old world meets new! Be sure to click over to her blog to see some projects she completed with these fabrics and to get a better sense of how beautifully these patterns mix and match.

Hushabye by Tula Pink - Beautiful patterns in pastels, really soft and quiet with a pretty boutique look. Click over to her blog to see the other palettes!

Alhambra II by Patricia Bravo for Art Gallery Fabrics - Sky palette pictured above. An updated version of her popular Alhambra I collection. Click over to her blog for the other beautiful palettes.

Shade Garden by Michelle Engel Bencsko - Polka-dotted mushrooms and snails, sigh, what else is there to say, other than I can't wait to see more?

Sneak Preview - Shade Garden
